Funeral services for Elva L. Reistroffer, 88, a resident of Riverview Manor Nursing Home, Pleasant Valley, formerly of rural Princeton, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf. Burial will be in the McCausland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Ms. Reistroffer died Sunday, May 9, 2010, at the nursing home.
Elva Reistroffer was born Oct. 21, 1921, in Gambril, Iowa, the daughter of William and Lillie (Hoist) Reistroffer.
She lived and farmed most of her life on the family farm in Butler Township.
Among the things she enjoyed were playing cards with her friends, bingo and attending bowling leagues with her brother where she loved keeping score.
Memorials may be made to Riverview Manor or the McCausland Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include many cousins.
