ALANEN, William (Bill) Elmer - Peacefully at the F.J Davey Home with his family by his side on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at the age of 79. Beloved husband of 56 years to Sylvia. Cherished father of Nancy Palumbo (Frank) and Ken. Loving and proud Papa of Tianna and Kristen Palumbo and Evan and Liam Alanen. Predeceased by his parents Matti and Anna Alanen and sister Sylvia Rivett (late Fred). Survived by sisters in law Melba Hyyrylainen (late Vilho) and Alice Nenonen (late Leo). Bill will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and by other family members and friends. Friends may visit Zion Lutheran Church (189 Upton Rd.), on Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 11:30 am until 1:30 pm. Memorial service to follow at 2 pm. Rev. Brad Mittleholtz officiating. Memorial contributions to Zion Lutheran Church, Parkinson Society or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. (Arrangements entrusted to Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel, 492 Wellington St. E, 705-759-2522). Special thanks to the staff of 3 Birch Lane at the F.J.
