She was a member of South Tower Community Church.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents and her son Billy Skaggs.
She is survived by her daughters, Denise Ann Skaggs, of Springfield, Tonia (Skaggs) Ekis, of Illiopolis; son, Todd Allen Skaggs of Vandalia; sister, Georgia (Miller) Dillon of Riverton; 7 grandkids, Kassandra (Josh) Dodd Casey, Vanessa Ekis, Joshua (Kelly) Dodd, Eddy (Barbie) Ekis, Preston (companion Roy Lowrey) Dodd, Jonny (companion Megan McKinney) Ekis, and Jacob Ekis; 13 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; 1 niece, Sara Dillon; 1 nephew, Robbie Dillon and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Graveside services will be held at a later date at Oak Hill Cemetery in Buckhart, IL.
