Percy Maxwell "Max" Carter 85 of Wartrace died Wednesday, October 14, 2020. Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 21st, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Pastor Jeremy Wells officiating. Family asks that Masks be worn and social distancing be practiced during the service.

He was a Retired (26 1/2 Yrs.) Captain U.S. Air Force; a member of Mensa and a 32nd Degree Mason and Shriner. He was one of the best gardeners around who was known for his tomatoes which he shared with everyone. He was the son of the late Clarence and Edith Young Carter.

Max is survived by his wife of 53 years, Catherine Biles Carter; sons, Conan (Jamie) Carter, Christopher (Kelley) Carter all of Wartrace; six grandchildren, Catherann, Kristen, Michaela and April Carter, Chase and Kevan McCormick.
