Thomas Edward Schneider, 72, of Wolfforth, TX, passed away Friday, October 9, 2020, at University Medical Center, Lubbock, TX.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie, MI, on Monday, October 19, 2020 at 2:00 P.M., with Pastor Mona Kindel officiating. Burial will take place at Ford Cemetery, Gratiot County. MI. Visitation will be before the service on Monday from 12:00 P.M. until time of service at the funeral home.

Tom was born in Owosso, MI on October 18, 1947, the son of Robert and Virginia (Snyder) Schneider. He graduated from St. Paul High School, Owosso, MI with the class of 1965 and earned a Bachelors Degree from MSU. Tom proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.

Tom was an entrepreneur at heart. He managed restaurants in several states. After moving to Texas, he enjoyed farming his land and caring for his animals. He had several rental units on his farm. He even drove truck for many years. Tom later worked for the State of Texas for 10 years before retiring.

Tom had a big heart and always cared for others. He had many friends in Michigan and Texas. His nephews and niece always enjoyed his visits. He had a smile and an infectious laugh that everyone loved.

Tom is survived by 2 sisters: Beverly Hedin of Perrinton, and Barbara (Joseph) Stawicki of Winsted, CT; sister-in-law Audrey Schneider of Ashley, his niece and nephews, and close friends: Zane (Jeanette) Henry, and Mike (Jill) Dwyer. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother Robert, brother Jim Schneider, and brother-in-law Will Hedin.
