Lena Lewis, 95, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 10. She volunteered faithfully for many years at the Rescue Mission, VA Hospital and Exceptional Family Resources. Originally from Poughkeepsie, NY, she was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Thomas. She is survived by her children, Richard (Ruth) Lewis of Highland, NY, James (Joanne) Lewis of Syracuse, NY, Gloria Lewis of Bethel, ME, and Faith (David) Langevin of Liverpool, NY. She was a beloved grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a cherished friend of Carol Smith and Alice Weiss.
Calling Hour: Sunday, May 20, from 3 to 4pm at the Butler-Badman Funeral Home, Inc., 4504 W. Seneca Tpk. Burial will be private.
Lena's final days were spent at Francis House, a wonderful ministry full of loving, devoted staff and volunteers who cared for her.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave., Syracuse, NY 13208.
