Elizabeth was born May 22, 1932 in Buncombe County and had been employed as a teaching assistant at Venable Elementary and Sandhill/ Venable Elementary School in Asheville for more than twenty dedicated years. With her kind and caring heart, Elizabeth truly made a difference in the lives of many children who will never forget her. Mrs. Peterson was a faithful member of West Asheville Baptist Church. Her precious memory will live on in our hearts forever.
We rejoice that Elizabeth is now in her glorious Heavenly home joining her loving husband of 55 years, Jack G. Peterson; her parents, William Packer Beachboard and Fanny Renfro Beachboard ; her brothers, Arthur Renfro Beachboard and William “Billy” Packer Beachboard, Jr. and also a sister, Evelyn McCraw.
Surviving are her son, Jeff Peterson and his wife, Amy; daughters, Terri and Cindy Peterson, a grandson, Andrew Peterson, nephews, Jimmy and Bruce McCraw and nieces, Janet Parish and Kimberly Chappel.
A private funeral service for Mrs. Peterson will be held in the chapel of Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Pastor Tony Hooper will be officiating. Private interment will be held at the Western North Carolina Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain.
