Jacquelyn Shivers Howard, age 94, passed peacefully from this life Sunday, October 11th surrounded by her children and personal care providers.
She lived a long and happy life; was so loved and will be so terribly missed. Jackie was a native Nashvillian; raised in East Nashville and a graduate of East High School.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert N. Howard; her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Hugh A. Shivers, brothers Hugh Jr. and William Shivers, and sister, Elynor Williamson.

She is survived by her four children; Jackie (Steve) Littrell, Deborah (Bill) Redick, Mark (Jill) Howard, Stephanie (Jay) Gore. She has been a loving "Memaw" to 8 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.

She was a life-long member of the Church of Christ, and most-recently a member of the Granny White Church of Christ. She retired from over 20 years of faithful service at Lipscomb University.

Funeral arrangements will be conducted by Woodlawn Funeral Home. She will rest with her husband at the Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Nashville following a private family memorial service. The family expresses heart-felt gratitude for the personal services of Nataliya Bulay and Typhanee Fitsgerald who faithfully attended to Jackie's every need with such authentic and loving care in her final weeks of life.
