Obituary:
Randy went Home after a courageous four-year battle with Pancreatic Cancer on October 12, 2020. Born on July 5, 1972, in Woodbury, NJ, Randy was the son of Kathy and the late Ron Morrison and was raised in Pedricktown, NJ. He attended Oldmans Township School and was a 1990 graduate of Woodstown High School. Following graduation, Randy enlisted in the Navy and sailed nearly around the world abord the USS Kitty Hawk as an Aviation Ordnanceman, receiving several, medals, commendations and awards for his service in The Gulf War. He also served abord the USS Theodore Roosevelt as a reservist.

Randy received an Associates of Science Degree from Gloucester County College in Construction Management and worked for several companies in the Material Handling Automation industry, most recently at Honeywell - Intelligrated where he was a Field Service Supervisor for the Northeast Region covering Maine to Virginia. He enjoyed his colleagues and work-related travel, including a five-week assignment in Argentina where he supported opening a facility there.

His generosity to the community included serving on the Oldmans Township Board of Education for nine years with six years as Vice-President. In this role, Randy always prioritized the children first. His love for children was also evidenced through service at Sharptown Church where he volunteered in many areas of Kids and Youth Ministry. His most coveted role was being “Candy Randy” at vacation bible school where each evening closed with his shower of candy from the main stage to the delight of all the kids attending. Volunteering at Delanco Camp was a yearly highlight where his kind and open heart drew campers and staff like a magnet where they developed their own inside jokes and individual friendships.

Randy’s greatest accomplishment was the life he shared for twenty-two years with his wife Amy and daughters Molly and Audrey in their home in Pedricktown, NJ. From the day his beautiful daughters were born, he burst with pride at each accomplishment, big or small. His calm, patient and loving approach, along with his deep and personal relationship with Jesus grew daughters of strong character and faith. He prioritized family overall and was a caring and selfless husband. We are confident Randy was meant to be a father of girls. Over the years he mastered wriggling squirmy little legs into tights, could identify all the Disney Princesses and could even a wield a curling iron for Sunday morning hairdos.

Randy is survived by his wife Amy, daughters Molly and Audrey, his mother Kathy Morrison, sister Kathy Chew (William), Aunt and Uncle Charles and Carol Harbeson, Parents in Law, Joan and Chris Connor, Sister in Law, Wendy Seiler (Patrick). He will be greatly missed by several nieces, nephews and cousins: Tony Powers (Marie), Casey Powers, Maeve and Thomas Seiler, Steve Harbeson (Laura), Michele Harbeson, Brian, Stephen and Taylor Harbeson, and great niece Raevyn Wood. He also leaves behind a stepbrother, Peter Morrison (Lori) and their children Emily and Lauren, many lifelong friends who are like family and a large church family as well.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2020, night from 6 until 8 PM at the Sharpstown United Methodist Church. All are welcome to come and to celebrate Randy’s life along with the family, however, we do ask everyone to please wear your masks, social distance and after speaking with the family to exit the church. Following a private service at the church on Friday morning, October 16, 2020 interment will take place at the Salem County Veterans Cemetery. Again, all are welcomed to attend the graveside services. If you would like to attend this service followed by military honors please be at the cemetery by 11:30 AM Friday morning, October 16, 2020.
