EAST LIVERPOOL – Joseph D. Rice, Sr., of East Liverpool, passed away suddenly Monday, October 12, 2020 at his home. He was 66.
Born in East Liverpool, September 30, 1954, he was a son of the late Harry J. and Nellie Mae Adams Rice. A resident of this area all his life, he graduated from East Liverpool High School and attended the St. Clair Avenue Church of Christ. He retired from New Castle Refractories.
He is survived by two daughters, Crystal Rice of Chester and Victoria “Tori” Rice of Georgia. There are four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Also left to cherish his memory are three sisters, Millie Steele and her husband, Donald, Pauline Marks, and Sondra Akers and a brother, Harry E. Rice and his wife, Susan, all of East Liverpool.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Joseph D. Rice, Jr.
Evangelist Will Montgomery will conduct a funeral service at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may visit two hours prior to the service 10-13-2020
