Elizabeth was a beloved daughter, sister, cousin, friend, aunt, grandma, and most importantly a mom. Survived by her children, Gina Michelle Chavarria, Amanda Pauline Riley, and Corrine Yvette Riley and grandchildren Julietta Chavarria and Aaliyah Chavarria. She was not only a Mom to these three girls, but to anyone who needed a loving and accepting mother in their lives’.
She did not judge others on past actions and accepted everyone as they came.
Elizabeth is preceded in death by her father and mother, Richard and Marcela Alegria, and her sister, Virginia Alegria. She is survived by her brothers, Richard Alegria (Ada), Raul B. Alegria (Bilha), Frank Alegria (Edna), and Charlie Alegria.
Elizabeth will always be remembered for her devotion to El Buen Pastor UMC and its worship
ministry, volunteering at Kelsey Memorial’s food pantry, singing in the Kelsey Memorial UMC
Choir, her humility, her selflessness and her smile. Though she did not have much to give, she gave everything she could.
Visitation for Elizabeth Riley will be on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Seaside Funeral Home from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Visitation will continue at 11 a.m. Friday, October 16th at Kelsey Memorial United Methodist Church, 1610 Comanche St., Corpus Christi Tx. 78401 with a Celebration of life service to be held from 12 noon to 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Elizabeth Alegria Scholarship Fund at 2533 Windrose Drive, Corpus Christi, Texas 78414.
