Elizabeth Margaret "Margi" Nichols, 67, a resident of Irving since 1981, died Monday, November 4, 2019 at a local care center after an extended illness. Born April 27, 1952 in Fort Worth, she was the daughter of the late James Paul Grove, Sr. and Elizabeth Scarbrough. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Dallas Baptist University and later received her Masters Degree from Texas Women's University. She practiced nursing at Methodist Hospital – Dallas, Irving Community Hospital, and Mount Sinai in Baltimore, Maryland. She taught nursing in El Paso. She married Dr. Hall Eugene "Gene" Nichols January 13, 1979 in Dallas.
Survivors include her husband Gene of Irving; two sons, Eric Nichols and wife Rebecca and Matthew Nichols and wife Morgan, all of Dallas; two grandchildren, Cordelia and Vera; and a brother James Paul Grove, Jr. of Houston.
A graveside service is planned for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, 1413 East Irving Blvd. in Irving under the direction of Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving.
