Mary Lou Benoit, 83, of Orange, died Sunday, October 11, 2020 at Gulf Health Care in Port Arthur, TX. A native of Youngsville, LA., Mary has lived in Orange for 20 years, and was a homemaker. Mary was a longtime and devout member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Orange. Mary enjoyed reciting her Rosary, her dogs, watching her hummingbirds, but especially loved and enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Lafayette Memorial Park in Lafayette, LA., under the direction of Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Beaumont, TX. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. until the beginning of the service. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Ervin Benoit, and her parents, Walter and Ada Belle LeBlanc. Mary is survived by her son, David Dwight Benoit and wife Sheree of Bridge City, daughter, Jody Love and her husband Russell of Mauriceville, sisters, Linda Corkin of Bogalusa, LA., Peggy Sonnier of Lafayette, LA., seven grandchildren, and eighteen great grandchildren.
