Passed away peacefully on October 3, 2020 at the age of 89 from complications resulting from an eight-year battle with Dementia/Alzheimer's. She was born on December 6, 1930 in Omaha, Nebraska and was the only child to the late Benjamin Coleman Taliaferro and Louise Frances Taliaferro. She attended San Diego High School Where she was a majorette and was very active in other school activities. Marilyn also attended San Diego State University. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and friend. After the birth of her four children, she chose to pursue another passion that being interior and fashion design where she earned an Associate Degree.

Marilyn loved the outdoors and was very competitive in nature. This ultimately led her to the golf course, where she excelled and won numerous tournaments and titles. In addition and not known by many Marilyn was quite artistic and studied various painting mediums and techniques. Although a novice artist, she painted some amazing and beautiful still life's and abstract paintings. Marilyn also worked as an administrative secretary for the Sate of Arizona and after her retirement, she moved back to San Diego where she lived out the rest of her life.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Deborah. She is survived by her sons Bill (Liz), Scott, Jeff and grandchildren Coleman and Ashley.
