DEATH OF E. W. OBER

Father of Lawrence Merchant Was Salina Pioneer

Mr. E. W. Ober, pioneer merchant of Salina, and father of Mr. H. W. Ober, of this city, died at his home in Salina about 8 o'clock last night. Mr. Ober has been in failing health for some months, but the attack from which he died occurred about 6 o'clock in the evening, and he lived only a couple of hours afterwards.

Mr. Ober was widely known as a successful merchant and made many friends in Lawrence during his visits here.

The funeral arrangements have been definitely determined, but burial will take place in Salina. Mr. Ober and his sister, Mrs. Radcliffe, will go to Salina tonight.
