Peggy was born July 25, 1945, in Columbus, Georgia to the late Edwin Griffin and Betty Joyce Chambers Montgomery. She was self-employed as a Cosmetologist for over 50 years. She was a member of the Living Grace United Methodist Church. She was an artist and a member of the Columbus Art Guild and she was a member of the DeKalb Art Council.
Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her sister-in-law Sandra Leathers.
Survivors include her husband, Wiley C. Gray of Columbus, GA., her daughters, Kelly Gray Morgan (Garris) of Columbus, GA., Tiffany Gray Calhoun (Scott) of Marietta, GA., grandchildren, Kyle Morgan, Avery Morgan, Helen Calhoun, and Emma Calhoun, sister, Betty M. Strange of Covington, GA., brother-in-law Dan Leathers of Eufaula, AL.
