MARY E. BANKS DEAD
Mrs. Mary Banks died last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Schuyler Searcy, No. 10 Pine street. The funeral will be held at the house tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock. The body will be taken to the Bushong cemetery for burial. Mrs. Banks was 55 years old and until six years ago lived with her family at Bushong. In 1894 Mr. Banks died, and Mrs. Banks with her three daughters came to Emporia and has been living at the Searcy home. Mrs. Banks leaves six daughters: Mrs. Elsie Jones, of Americus; Mrs. Maggie Frost, who lives on a farm south of Emporia; Mrs. Ida Searcy, and Misses, Rose, Eva and Minnie Banks, of Emporia.

Mrs. Mary E. Banks died last night at her home, No. 10 Pine street. She was fifty-five years old. The funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at Bushong. Mrs. Banks leaves the following daughters, Miss Rosa, Minnie, Eva, Mrs. Elsie Jones, Mrs. Maggie Frost and Mrs. Ida Searcey (sic), and a large circle of friends to mourn her death. Her husband died about six years ago.
