Charles L. Henries, 59, well known Elba Rd. farmer, died at 4:15 today (May 23, 1953) at Genesee Memorial Hospital [Batavia]. He had been in failing health for several years. and in a serious condition for the past three months.
Mr. Henries was born July 15, 1893 in Pavilion, the son of the late Louis L. and Mary Tapp Henries. His mother died last Jan. 1. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and Elba Grange and was a World War I veteran.
Mr. Henries’ wife the former Cecil Neth survives. They were married June 16, 1920. Other survivors include a son, Warren C. of Corfu; a daughter Mrs. [Rhea] Charles Boland of Troy; a brother, Frank L. of Batavia, a salesman for E. N. Rowell Co., Inc., a sister, Mrs. Murray Thornton of Albany; a niece, Mrs. Earl Rose of Albany, and a nephew, Pfc. Raymond Bedrosian, now a prisoner of war in Korea.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the H. E. Turner Mortuary, with the Rev. Albert F. McClements, pastor of the Elba Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will in Elmwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the home beginning tonight.
