Born June 26, 1945 at Huntingdon, PA, he was a son of the late Mearl and Alda (Love) Leonard. He was united in marriage to the former Shirley Russell who preceded in death. He later married the former Marietta Covert Crouse who survives at their home.
He is also survived by eight children, Shawn Leonard and wife Evie of Three Springs, PA, Gary Crouse and wife Barb of McConnellsburg, PA, Michael Crouse and wife Jaye of Utah, Connie Mills and husband Greg of Three Springs, PA, Owen Brian Crouse and wife Patty of Meyersdale, PA, Ferman Crouse and wife Ella of Rockhill Furnace, PA, Terry Crouse of James Creek, PA and Christopher Crouse and wife Kim of Normalsville, PA, thirty grandchildren, forty nine great grandchildren and two siblings, Joseph Leonard of Lancaster, PA and Nancy Leonard of Duncannon, PA. One daughter, Donna Detwiler and one great grandson, Mason Bowman, preceded in death.
Mr. Leonard was a member of the Aughwick Germany Valley Church of the Brethren.
He retired from U. S. Silica, Mapleton, PA after 37 years service as a heavy equipment operator.
Mr. Leonard was a veteran of the U. S. Army.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no public viewing or visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, P. O. Box 220, Orbisonia, PA 17243 to help defray the cost of arrangements.
