Funeral services for Connie Janelle (Mitchell) Odom will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 13, 2020 in the White Oaks Memorial Chapel with Reverend L.E. Robertson and Reverend Michael Nolen officiating.
Committal service will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery under the direction of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Connie, 66, of Elizabeth, entered eternal rest on Friday, October 9, 2020 in her residence with her loving family by her side. She was born May 7, 1954 in Leesville to the union of Paul Lawson Mitchell and Willie Lucille (White) Mitchell.
For many years before retiring, she was a locksmith for Fort Polk. She enjoyed making cakes for all occasions and was a mother figure to many. Spending time with her church family, was one of the many special moments in her life. Connie loved her family and enjoyed bringing her grandchildren to church with her. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Lucille Mitchell; two brothers, Ronnie and Donnie Mitchell.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 30 years, Tommy Odom of Elizabeth; one daughter, Misti Marshall (Adam) of Boyce; three sons, Frankie Odom (Nickie) of Glenmora, Tommy “TJ” W. Odom, Jr. of Elizabeth and Rubyn Odom (Ashley) of Rosepine; five grandchildren, Logan, Madison, Hadley, Kaelyn, Khaleesi and Ruby; one sister, Bonnie Bledsoe (Maurice) of Lafayette; and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers to serve will be TJ Odom, Rubyn Odom, Logan Gobert, Everick Odom, Cameron LeDoux, Melvin Johnson and Patrick Anding.
Honorary pallbearers to serve will be Mitch Johnson, Josh Eaves and Cody Cloud.
Visitation will be held in the White Oaks Memorial Chapel on Monday, October 12, 2020 from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m., then Tuesday, October 13, 2020 from 8 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. in the chapel.
