Mary C. Garrett, 69, of West Alexandria, OH, passed away Monday morning, May 26, 2014. Mary was a daughter of the late Vernal & Jean (Hall) Kazee. An active and longtime member of the West Alexandria Church of the Brethren, she served many years as a Church Camp Counselor at Woodland Altars. She loved cooking and gardening and was a band parent at TVS for many years. She was a member of Coterie of West Alexandria; and retired after 40 years of service as a Registered Nurse for Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton.

Survived by husband of 38 years Dan Garrett: daughters Sarah Friedrich & husband Joe of Columbus, OH; and Katie Garrett of West Alexandria: grandchildren Danny and Hannah Friedrich: sister and brother Cheryl Oliver & husband Ken of West Alexandria; and James Kazee & wife Dee of Gilbert AZ: and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, May 31, 2014 at the West Alexandria Church of the Brethren - 22 E. Oak - West Alexandria. Pastor Brody Rike presiding. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Church following the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton. Arrangements entrusted to the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center, West Alexandria.
