Debra Alice Mullis was born on Oct. 24, 1964, in Selma, Alabama to Earl and Dorothy Ann Boyd Mullis. She graduated from Carthage High School with in 1983. She attended Panola College, earned a LVN certification, and worked as a nurse for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Debra spent most of her lifetime in Carthage. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Melinda Jean Mullis, and brother Walter Scott Mullis.
