Mrs. Margaret Haynes, age 76, died Friday, October 9, 2020 at her home in the Laws Hill Community of Marshall County.

Mrs. Haynes was born in Marshall County and was a daughter of the late Marvin Brown and Lillie Mai Harwell Calahan. She was a graduate of the Class of 1963 at Marshall County High School and was retired from Coble Furniture in Lewisburg.

For many years, she and her husband Glenn, were very fortunate to be able to teach and coach so many wonderful young people during the many years they were active coaches in Marshall County. After retiring from coaching, she loved watching their grandchildren participate in all the different sports they played.

Mrs. Margaret was a member and very involved in Grove Hill Church in Chapel Hill. She had a true desire to see that her family, friends and all those she came in contact with knew of the love of Jesus Christ and his plan for each of their lives.

Mrs. Haynes is survived by her husband of 56 years, Glenn Haynes, Laws Hill Community; children, Kimberly Dawn Haynes (David) Junkins, Chapel Hill, TN, Lori Ann Haynes, Lewisburg, TN, Richard Keith (Jensey) Haynes, Laws Hill Community; sisters, Sandra Faye (Larry) Barcheers, Lewisburg, TN, Maxine Luna, Lewisburg, TN; brothers, Jimmy Chester Calahan, Lewisburg, TN, Billy Wayne (Patricia) Calahan, Lewisburg, TN; grandchildren, Sara Schoenberger (Channing) Harris, Taylor Schoenberger, Ally Blanton, Anna Blanton, Jenna Blanton, Madison Haynes (Shea) Spence; great grandchildren, Madelyn Harris and Amelia Turner.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Haynes is also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lindsey Ann Schoenberger; brothers, Marvin Callahan, Jr, Joe Mack Callahan, and James R. Callahan.

Family members will receive friends on Sunday, October 11, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, October 12, 2020 at 11:00 am from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Tim McGehee and Rev. Ridley Barron officiating. Burial will follow in Elliott Cemetery near Chapel Hill.
