A native of Meade County, Ky., born July 13, 1906, he was the son of the late Samuel Thomas and Emma Catherine Murray Kendall.
He was a retired farmer, a former magistrate of Meade County and a member of Salem Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Kendall.
Survivors include a daughter, Daisy Coleman of Brandenburg; a granddaughter and a great-granddaughter.
The funeral was Wednesday, April 14, at Chapel of Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home in Brandenburg with burial in Cap Anderson Cemetery. The Rev. Donald L. Cole officiated.
Pallbearers were Hayden Goldsmith, Keith Lawson, Richard Bennett, Gerhard Neben, Dr. James Kendall and Billy Biddle.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Salem Baptist Church Building Fund.
