NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mrs. Catherine M. Cox, 78, wife of Rodney Cox, of Clearwater Road, entered into rest Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at University Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, February 10, 2007 in the chapel of Rowland Funeral Home with Rev. John Meyer officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Rodney Edward Saum, Aaron Hattaway, Dale Todd, Jeff Jacobs, Joseph Porter and Steven Porter. The family will receive friends at Rowland Funeral Home this evening from 7 to 9 p.m. Mrs. Cox was born in Horry County, SC and had lived in North Augusta for the past fifty-two years. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Belvedere. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Alberta Branson and Margaret Jacobs; one brother, Lloyd Hardee. Additional survivors include one son, Gene Cox, and one daughter, Henrietta Saum both of North Augusta; one brother, Berkeley Hardee of Asheboro, NC; two sisters, Marie Harrell of Suffolk, VA, and Beatrice Todd of Loris, SC; one grandson, Rodney Edward Saum; and one great-granddaughter, Serena Nicole Saum; several nieces and nephews.
