Survivors include his mother, Nelda Doyal of Ryan; one son, Arthur Lee Hood Jr.; three brothers, Jack Albert Hood, Sr., Jessie Tilton Hood, Sr., and Tom Allen Doyal; one step-brother, John Henry Williams; one sister, Laura Jean Johnson; three step-sisters, Martha Helloms, Bessie Miser, and Barbara Haas; three grandchildren; one niece; six nephews; two great-nieces; and four great-nephews.
Services were held Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2005, at the Ryan Cemetery, with Rev. Floyd Key officiating. Burial was under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Ryan.
