Joao (John) Veiga leaves beind two children Nicci Sarmento and Johnny Viega, Jr. (Cindy), two children: Summer Veiga and Johnny Veiga III, and several grandchildren. John passed away in San Jose California where he lived for many years. He work at Lockheed Martin till he retired. He is buried next to his mother, Alice Veiga at the Valley Public Cemetery in Watsonville, California. John also leaves behind three sisters, Mary Cardoza, Leontina Silva, and Quelminda Soares, and many nieces and nephews.
