Sharon L. King, 77, of Arkansas City, Kansas, passed away October 8, 2020 at her home.

Born May 31, 1943 in Hawthorne, Nevada, she was the daughter of Harry and Ruby (Foster) Wheeler. The family moved to Sandusky, Illinois while Sharon was young. She was raised and received her education in southern Illinois, attending Tamms High School.

Sharon married Earl Price, Sr. in 1960. They made their home in southern Illinois, where she worked as a school bus driver. To this union, four children were born. The couple later divorced. She married Ralph Weiss in 1974 in Fort Smith, Arkansas and in 1976 the couple moved to Arkansas City, Kansas. Sharon worked for Cessna in Wichita. To this union, two children were born. The couple later divorced.

Sharon was united in marriage to William “Bill” King on February 16, 1983 in Colorado. The couple made their home in Winfield where Sharon worked at Rubbermaid. She continued with Rubbermaid until retiring in 2005. Bill preceded her in death on December 19, 2014.

Sharon enjoyed gardening, embroidering, cooking, and trying new recipes. There wasn’t anything she couldn’t do.

Her family includes her children, Earl Price, Jr. of Tamms, IL; Beverly Neubecker of Largo, FL; Tina Ensley and husband, Darren of Wichita; Deonna Arzola of Arkansas City; Joseph Weiss of Winfield; Ernest Weiss of Winfield; her stepchildren, William “Bobby” King of Denver, CO; Donald King of Ponca City, OK; her grandchildren, Michael Neubecker, Lori Neubecker, Crystal Rasler, Bryan Brankel, Shauna Brankel, Richard Lohrmeyer, Stephen Ensley, Sheena Arzola, Benjamin Arzola, Victoria Arzola, Anna Yudin, Kira Weiss, Joseph Weiss, Allen Weiss, Alex Weiss, Kayleigh Weiss; and her great grandchildren, Casondra Peoples, Finnigan Rasler, Jules Rasler, Elizabeth Brankel, Kasper Brankel, Olivia Brankel, Evelynn Brandon, Tristan Brandon, Soren Brandon, Eliya Yudin, and Eliyana Yudin.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at 12:30 P.M. at Miles Funeral Service. Inurnment will follow at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery.
