Bobbie Simone Atkinson Howell, age 82 of Centre, passed away Thursday, October 8th at Cherokee Village.
Graveside services will be 3:PM Sunday, October 11th at Neal Hill Cemetery, with Rev. Jeff Davis officiating.
Pallbearers include Mitchell Guice, Paul Hyche, Thomas Curry, Ronnie Rogers, Roger Nichols, Marcus Williams.
Survivors include her son, Jay (Tonya) Howell; daughter, Jenni (Dwayne) Amos; grandchildren, Carson Howell, Maggie Amos and Jack Amos.
She was preceded in death by her husband James J. “Jackie” Howell, Sr.; brother, Fred Atkinson.
A special thank you to the staff of Cherokee Village Assisted Living and Dr. Brian Perry.
Mrs. Howell was a native of Madison, AL, the daughter of the late Robert Kermit and Hilda Belle Biggs Atkinson, she was a retired HOE teacher at the Cherokee County Area Vocational School, she was the Cherokee County Red Cross Director, a member of the Cherokee County Board Of Education, she was a Registered Nurse and was of the Baptist faith.
