Glenda Lou Rose, age 65, of rural Arlington, died at 12:15am on Tuesday, October 7, 2020 at her residence. She was born on May 24, 1955 in Findlay, Ohio to Glen Perkins and Cora Mae (Greeno) Perkins Cooper, Glen is deceased and Cora lives in Grove City. She married John Rose on September 16, 1972 and he survives. Other survivors include her daughter: Emily Jean Rose of Holland, Ohio; sons: John S. (Stephanie) Rose II of Bairdstown and Anthony "Andy" (Shelly) Rose of Rawson; foster children: Cheyenne and Jacob Smith; sisters: Cathy Sue (Rick) Eady of Arizonia and Jamie (John) Cooper-Bracy of Van Buren; brothers: Robin (Marcia) Cooper of Findlay, Ronnie (Katrina) Cooper of Texas and Rodger (Fidelia) Cooper of Upper Arlington; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren: Jayda, Lillianna, Aria, and Watson. She was also preceded in death by her step-father: Pete Cooper; brother: Glen Perkins and grandson, Jacob. She was a 1974 graduate of Arlington High School and earned her Associate Degree in Business from Lima Technical College. She was a computer programmer at Marathon Oil Company for over 5 years. She pastored the Pleasant View Church for 9 years and at the Alpha Omega Church of Christ, Inc and the Grove Street Tabernacle in Carey. She attends Upper Room Church of God. She worked for several years with the handicapped at Blanchard Valley Center and had enjoyed photography, scrapbooking and spending time with her grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 2-4pm on Sunday, October 11, 2020 and from 1:00to 2:00pm on Monday at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, 205 West Sandusky Street in Findlay. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Monday at the funeral home with Bishop Terry McBeath officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Findlay. Memorials may be given to Cancer Patient Services and condolences may be given at www.coldrencrates.com.
