On Sunday, September 8, 2019, William (Bill) L. Loomis, beloved brother and uncle passed away surrounded by family at the age of 83.
Bill was born in Millington, Michigan on May 27, 1936 to Lloyd and Leona (Schmitzer) Loomis.
Bill was an avid reader who enjoyed sharing fun facts, traveling, camping, animals, and nature. Bill embraced his nomadic nature by traveling in his later years primarily between New Mexico and Arizona with extended visits with his sister Patricia and her family in Michigan. Bill was grateful for the many friendships he made along his many travels. Lovingly referred to as “Michigan Bill” by out of state friends, this would add to his many shared adventurous stories of his travels.
The family of Bill would like to express appreciation to the medical teams at Flagstaff Medical Center, Flagstaff Arizona, Prescott VA Medical Center, Prescott Arizona and to the Palliative Care Team at the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center, Saginaw, MI. It is with great gratitude and appreciation to countless professionals, who made it possible for him to return home for his last days to be with family.
Bill was preceded in death by his father Lloyd, mother Leona, brother Robert Loomis, and brother-in-law Alexander Czarnecki.
Bill is survived by sister, Patricia Czarnecki, brother Zed Loomis and sister-in-law Arlene Loomis, as well as many nieces and nephews.
In honor of Bill’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
