Family visitation will be 4 to 6 pm, Sunday, August 22, 2004 at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor. Celebration of Life service will be 10 am, Monday at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor with Rev. Vic Kilian officiating. Burial to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
Reuben Oscar Lange was born on August 5, 1922 to Fritz and Ida (Erdmann) Lange in Thrall, Texas. He married Leona Frerichs and they were blessed with two daughters. He loved his trucks and worked very hard farming and ranching during his lifetime. He served the Hare Community as owner and operator of the Hare Store for about 20 years. Reuben sold everything from agriculture products to groceries at the store. It served as the "community center" and the place to be for Friday night dominoes.
Reuben is preceded in death by his parents Fritz and Ida Lange, and his wife Leona.
He is survived by his two daughters, Theresa LaValle of Fairview, Elaine Lange of Austin; sister, Earline Klotz and husband Alfred of Taylor; brothers, Milton Lange of Taylor, and Emery Lange and wife Selma of Thrall.
Reuben will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Memorials may be made to Christ Lutheran Church.
