Born in Nazareth, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Florence (Hall) Schisler. Kathleen was a graduate of Nazareth High School, Class of 1948. For more than 30 years, she worked in the garment industry as a machine operator and was a member and served as secretary of the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union. Kathleen enjoyed trips to the casino with her husband, and she was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Moorestown.
She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her two sons, Herman P. Petersen and wife, Karen, of Nazareth, and Joseph W. Petersen and wife, Kathleen, of Syracuse, NY; four grandchildren, Nina, Heather, Michelle, and Tommy; eight great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Herman, she was predeceased by her brother, Robert P. Schisler, and two sisters, Dorothea M. Landis and Gladys E. Hertzog.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 12, 2020, at 11:00 A.M. in the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, LLC, 2165 Community Drive, Route 946, in the Village of Moorestown - Bath, PA 18014. Friends and relatives are invited to call on Monday morning from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 in the funeral home. COVID-19 restrictions apply. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Moorestown.
