John Francis Marostica
JUNE 6, 1951 – OCTOBER 5, 2020

John F. Marostica was born on June 6, 1951 in Austin, Texas and passed away on October 5, 2020 in Austin.

John attended New Braunfels High school, where he was an active participant in the National Thespian Society. He graduated on May 8, 1970. He later pursued higher education at Durham College obtaining a degree in Electronic Technology. He also attended Austin Community College and Southwest Texas University, obtaining degrees in Applied Science in Computer Information Systems and in Business Administration.

John spent much of his work life beginning at Texas Nuclear, and later moving to the Texas Department of Health. That's not to mention the various businesses he started along the way. In his free time, he loved photography, teaching others computer skills, and helping both neighbors and strangers alike. He was extremely active in both the Austin and the Williamson County Genealogy Societies. These were a passion that he share with his wife Jean.

He married Marye Jean Harr in 1972. Jean played integral part assisting John in the discovery of his birth parents. Jean passed away on March 30, 2019.

John was also preceded in death by his father and mother Paul and Marge Marostica. He was also preceded in death by his birth father and mother as well as two brothers. He is survived by his sister Debbie, his niece Delora and her family. He is also survived by his sister Marie, and brothers Paul, Brooks, Chris, Pat and their families.

John was loved and will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
