Teresa was a 1982 graduate of West Jones High School and a member of the cheerleading squad. She was also a member of Parkview Baptist Church.
Teresa worked as a paralegal and received a double associate degree from Southern MS specializing in Social Security Benefits.
Teresa was preceded in death by her father, George H. Barnett; sisters, Tina Marie Barnett and Tammy Charlene Barnett; maternal grandparents, Jimmy and Beatrice Parish; and paternal grandparents, Roy R. and Bernice Barnett.
She is survived by her mother, Barbara Barnett; two daughters, Lana (Daniel) Thornton and Katherine Herrington; sister, Twila (David) Coleman; two granddaughters, Madison and Amelia Thornton; two nieces; three nephews; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held at 12 noon Thursday May 19, 2016, at Memory Chapel with services to follow at 2 p.m. Thursday.
