Janet Darlene Robinson was born 26 Jul 1950 in Arkansas City, Cowley County, KS, to Claude Lynn Robinson and the former Betty Jane Dickson. She was the second of the three children (Clifford, Sharon) born to this couple. After their parents divorced in 1952, her mother remarried Dean Leon Goodman on 4 Aug 1954, and together they raised the three children and also another three children born to this union (Patricia, Leona, Winona). Janet was raised in Arkansas City and Andover, KS. On 15 Nov 1967, she and her two Robinson siblings changed their legal surname to Goodman at the Butler County District Court, El Dorado, KS. She graduated from Andover High School in May 1968. She married Steven Irl Herlocker on 7 Dec 1968 in Andover and they had one son, Lance Irl Herlocker (29 Oct 1970 - 5 Jul 2019). Janet and Steve divorced and she subsequently remarried Theodore Ray Beckner with whom she had a second son, Joshua in 1982. They also divorced and on 22 Sep 1988, she remarried Timothy Haynes to whom she remained married until her passing in Port Orchard, Washington.
