Gina R. Brown, 59, of Montgomery, AL, passed away October 3, 2020. Gina was born in Lincoln Heights, OH on August 8, 1961 to the late Doris and Stewart M. Harris, Sr. She is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Henry Brown; sons, Detomian Shearer and Wakeem Shearer; grandchildren Serenity Shearer, Damani Paul-Shearer and Wakeem Shearer Jr.; goddaughter Erica Warren; her siblings Cathy Olds of W. Henrietta, NY * Marcia Percy of Huber Heights, OH * Dr. Stewart Harris, Jr. (Janice) of Lincoln Heights, OH * Van Harris of Montgomery, OH * Alisa Harris of Buffalo, NY * Angela Brown of Forest Park, OH; Brother-in-laws Jimmie Brown of Birmingham, AL * William Brown of Autaugaville, AL * Ellis Cooper of Billingsley, AL; and a host of nieces and nephews; - and several other relatives and special friends. Gina worked at the American Heart Association in 1988, American Cancer Society in 1994, and then on to Alabama State University in 2007. She was a member of New Life Church of God in Christ in Montgomery, AL. In her free time, she enjoyed crafts, sewing, baking bread for her church friends and spending time with family.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 9, 2020 from 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. at Thompson, Hall & Jordan Funeral Home, 11400 Winton Road, where a Private Homegoing Celebration for the immediate family will begin at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Terry Ellison officiating.
