Wanda Lee (Walters) Moore, 85, a lifelong Fort Gibson resident was born November 22, 1934 in Fort Gibson to Earl and Jewel (Woods) Walters and peacefully passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2020 in Fort Gibson with her loving family by her side.
Wanda received her formal education and graduated from Fort Gibson Public School. Wanda met and later married the love of her life Charles Grant Moore on December 29, 1955 in Fort Gibson. She was a faithful member of Fort Gibson First Baptist Church. Wanda loved her recipes, not necessarily cooking them, but just writing them down, and had notebooks full of them. Wanda also loved to go camping, watching the campfire and fishing with her sister, and they had stories about every camper there.
Wanda is lovingly survived by her son; Terry Moore and his wife Cheryl of Fort Gibson; granddaughters, Deborah Criner and her husband Adam of Fort Gibson, Terri Shannon and her husband Eric of Fort Gibson; sisters, Carol Cook and her husband Butch of Fort Gibson, and Rosemary Walters of Fort Gibson; great grandchildren, Braden, Jacen and Emily Criner, Eric Jr., and Quade Shannon of Fort Gibson; extended family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Moore; sisters, Earldean Bull, Norma Ruth Upton and Donna Jean Williams.
A visitation will be held Friday, October 9, 2020 at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home in Fort Gibson with the family receiving friends 5PM-7PM.
Graveside services are scheduled for 1:00PM Monday, October 12, 2020 at Citizens Cemetery Pavilion in Fort Gibson with Pastor Glen Rowan officiating.
The family of Wanda Lee Moore has entrusted her care, cremation and services to Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home, Fort Gibson.
