Mrs. Jones was born August 4, 1883, near Rhodes, a daughter of Harrison W. and Minerva (Barbee) Perry. She was married to John N. Jones in Newton June 14, 1904. The couple resided in the Collins area and then moved to Jasper County where they lived most of their married life. She had lived on their present place a rural Colfax for 20 years. She was an honorary member of the Happy Hour Club at Baxter.
Survivors include the widower; a son, John P. Jones, Newton; four daughters, Mrs. William (Lela) Dodd, Washington D. C., Mrs. Herbert (Minnie) Poole, Baxter, Mrs. Joe (Blanche) Seltis, Tacoma, Wash., Kathleen Jones, Seattle, Wash; three grand children and eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. James (Dessie) Kimberly, Baxter,
She was preceded in death by and infant daughter, Wanda, three brothers and two sisters.
