He was preceded in death by father, William M. Cross; mother, Mary Lou Troupe Cross; brother, Ralph Cross, Sr.; brother, W.E. Cross; brother, Kenneth Cross; brother, David Cross; brother, John Cross; sister, Thelma Jean Saint; sister, Linda Cross.
Surviving are wife, Elaine Morring Cross; daughter, Kathy L. (Rick) Weaver; sons, James Murphy Cross and Gary W. (Kelli) Cross; grandchildren, Joshua Webster (Nikki), Jared Webster (Emily), Jamie Cross (Kassandra), Bailey Garrett (Ben), Trevor Cross (Victoria), Garrett Cross; great grandchildren, Samatha Webster, Laken, Trennen and James-Declen Garrett, Annah-Rose Cross, Jaxon Cross, Levi Webster; numerous & nephews and sister-in-law, Betty Morring Morgan.
Visitation will be Friday 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will follow at 1:00 PM with Rev. Michael Carpenter officiating.
Interment will be in the Whitaker Cemetery.
