Ms. Kennedy was born on December 14, 1929 to the late Jessie Kennedy and Willie Hazel Lawson Kennedy of Tullahoma. At the age of 18, she moved from Tullahoma to Nashville. She began her career with the Social Security Administration and retired after 30 years. After she retired, she volunteered at Saint Thomas Hospital and at the library. She was an avid reader and a pet lover. She “never met a pet she didn’t like.” Mrs. Kennedy loved to travel and anything English.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Glyndon Purcell.
She is survived by her three special friends, Candy Cain, Barbara Nunnally, and Ann Harper.
In lieu of flowers, her wishes were for donations to be made to any animal shelter or animal rescue program of your choice.
