James Calvin (Tumble Bug) Thomason, 73 of Newbern, Tennessee died on Tuesday, October 6, 2020, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital in Dyersburg,Tennessee.

Born Sunday, June 29, 1947, in Trimble, Tennessee he was the son of the late Dewey Wade Thomason and Nora Hinson Thomason. He was a retired truck driver.

Graveside services will be 1:00 PM, Sunday, October 11, 2020, at McCorkle Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Rev. Tyler Neeley. Family and friends are asked to meet at Johnson-Williams for the procession to McCorkle Cemetery.

Mr. Thomason is survived by one daughter, Misty Boyd of Dyersburg, Tennessee, one son, Ryan Thomason (Monserrat) of Boston, Maryland; one sister, Mary Thomason of Tiptonville, Tennessee, one brother, Rex Thomason of Troy, Tennessee and three grandchildren; Damon Boyd, James Boyd and Atlas Thomason

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Eva Jean Thomason and two brothers, A. J. Thomason and Roger Thomason.
