Ann and her late husband, Dick were active members of the Hibernian Club when they lived in Waltham and then Hudson, MA. She loved to tell stories about her homeland in Ireland, and frequently attended virtual masses at her church, The Church of the Sacred Heart and Saint Joseph, in Rockfield, Coolaney, County Sligo. She used to own and operate an ice cream stand in Cherry Hill, PA. Ann enjoyed crocheting, reading, and working in the yard. She ran an in-home daycare in Hudson, MA, caring for over 75 children during those years.
She is survived by her daughter, Caroline Howard and husband Bob of Lowell, MA; son Richard Moore and wife Cynthia of Goose Creek, SC; son Sean Moore of Puerto Escondido, Mexico; daughter-in-law Sharon Moore of St. George, SC; brother John Leydon of Birmingham, England; sister Teresa Frizzell of Rockfield, Ireland; seven grandchildren: Joseph Moore and wife Andrea of Fort Campbell, Clarksville, TN; Cassandra Moore of Bethany, WV; Megan, Montana, and Dylan Moore, all of Erie, PA; Corey Moore of Salt Lake City, UT; Trevor Moore of CO; four great grandchildren: Melissa and Daniel Moore, and Anthony and Ethan McBride, as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Ann was predeceased by her husband, Richard Moore, son Rory Moore, brothers Thomas and James Leydon, and sisters Margaret Curran, Bridget Mahan, and Mary Feehily.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 9, 2020 at 10:00-11:00AM at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, with a funeral service beginning at 11:00AM. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Biddeford.
