John C.”Wick” Wicker, Sr. was a quiet man. He kept to himself but would always offer a helping hand to those who needed it. John demonstrated what it truly meant to be an American soldier; to be brave, to be courageous, and to be heroic. Mr. Wicker demonstrated his bravery, courage, and heroism while contributing to the manpower of our great nation in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and throughout his life until he was called home on September 27, 2020 at the age of 81.

That’s one of the things that connects us as neighbors—in our own way, each one of us is a giver and a receiver. Mr. Wicker was a neighborhood guy. He loved the Black Horse & Legacy Diners as well as being a sports fanatic, especially when it comes to baseball carrying season tickets for the Phillies. In his early years, John coached baseball in Audubon and was also a faithful parishioner of Saint Joachim Parish in Bellmawr.
Mr. Wicker is predeceased by his wife Kathleen Wicker (nee Helmbold), his son John Wicker, Jr., and his daughters Sherylanne Bevilacqua & Dawn Callahan. John will be greatly missed by his first wife Edi Colucci as well as his daughter Marie, son in law Gino, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
