Marguerite L. (Anderson) Wood, 80, of Ross Hill Road, Charlestown, died on Wednesday morning, Feb. 6, 2008, at The Clipper Home of Westerly. She was predeceased by her husband, George W. Wood in 1990.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael G. and Lyn Wood of Charlestown; her daughter and son-in-law, Georgia M. and Anthony Algiere Jr. of Westerly; three grandchildren, Steven Prellwitz, Russel Wood and Sheri-Lee Wood; and her brother, Charles Anderson of Texas.
Mrs. Wood was born in North Kingstown on June 29, 1927, the daughter of the late George and Florence (Snow) Anderson.
She was a greeter at Wal-Mart for 12 years and was an avid reader who always took care of family members and friends.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008, from noon to 2 p.m. with remembrances starting at 1 p.m. at Rushlow-Iacoi Funeral Home, 64 Friendship St., Westerly.
