Carolyn Byrd Combs, 84, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2020, quietly in her sleep.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde "Mac" Combs, her parents, and two half-brothers, Glenn L. and Bruce Paul. Carolyn is survived by her son, Creed Jeffery (Pokey), and a grandson, Coby Rosheed.
Born in Kentucky, Carolyn was an avid traveler. At first, her travels were for school and work as a teacher and later a college professor. Her travels would later become for enjoyment as she had visited all 50 states, all the Canadian Provinces, and a number of other countries.
Visitation was held Tuesday, October, 13, 2020, at 1:00pm at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. A memorial service followed in the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. When attending, facial masks were required due to Covid regulations in place at the time.
