She was born on September 17, 1927.
Laura was an employee of Southeastern Regional Medical Center for many years where she worked in the maternity ward.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Dewey Cooper and Mary Reba Flowers-Cooper; one son, Douglas Ray Wilkins; three daughters: Georgia Leigh Cooper, Judy Laura Medina and Reba Kay Wilkins.
Laura is survived by two daughters, Mary Denniston of Lumberton and Betty Carroll and her husband John of Lumberton; four grandchildren: John Jason Carroll, Amanda Kay Sutton, David Andrew Carroll and Samuel Adam Pancoast, and nine great-grandchildren.
Boles-Biggs Funeral Home is serving the family.
