Songwriter, actor. He achieved notoriety already in the 50s playing the soundtrack of the animated film "The Mighty Hercules". Songs such as Hold Me Tight, I Can See Clearly Now and Stir It Up, written by Bob Marley, confirmed his success in the genre of Rhythm and blues, Soul, Reggae fusion and Pop rock. In 1959 he was lead actor in the film "Take a Giant Step" by Philip Leacock. Johnny Nash was been # 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 (1972) music chart.
