Jack R. Green, 84 of Sale Creek, passed away October 4th, 2020 at Parkridge Hospital. He was a 1953 graduate of Soddy Daisy High School.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Ruth Green, brother Leroy Green, sisters Lenora Mikel and Betty Trantham, and infant son Jeremy Green.

He is survived by Helen (Fuller), his wife of 62 years, sons Jeffrey (Chiquita), Tim (Jennifer), Bradley (Tanya), six grandsons, two granddaughters, and three brothers Melvyn (Jean), Kenneth (Nadine), and Rodney (June) and several nieces and nephews.

Jack retired from Provident Insurance Company in October 1987 as a Senior Systems Analyst. He also had his own TV repair business as Jack’s Electronics. Upon graduating from Chattanooga State, he opened up his own A/C Heating business. He was a licensed electrician.

Jack served in the Tennessee Army National Guard. He organized and chartered the Sale Creek Recreation Club, which benefited many community children. He coached at the Soddy Daisy Kids’ Club and his sons’ baseball teams. He was a Red Cross Volunteer and former member of Chattanooga Radio Club. He is a member of the Sale Creek Lions Club. He was a member of Bakewell Bible Church and attended there for many years. He now attends Sale Creek Church of God and is a member of Sunshine Seniors.

Visitation on Tuesday, October 6th from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Funeral will be on Wednesday, October 7th at 11am in the chapel of Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Bishop Terry Bolton officiating. Burial at Welsh-Rogers Cemetery.
