A service of remembrance will be held on July 11, 2020 at Labby Memorial Funeral Home located in Leesville, LA., at 2:00 P.M.
Roxanne Dansby, born on March 28, 1964, in Manhattan, New York and raised in Queens, New York, was one of five girls born to Mr. and Mrs. Mack Reed. She passed away on July 10, 2020 at her home.
She had a love for and participated on the girls softball team while attending and graduating from Andrew-Jackson High School in Queens, New York.
Roxanne was an avid sports fan of the New Orleans Saints football team and the New York Yankees baseball team.
While a resident of New Llano, LA., Roxanne was employed eight years in Food Service at Fort Polk, LA. Her passion and driven goals allowed her to hold numerous positions during her eighteen years of employment with Wal-Mart.
She is preceded in death by her mother; Marjorie Sears Reed and sister; Tonya Reed.
Roxanne is survived by her husband of twenty-five years, Leo P. Dansby of New Llano, LA., Fraiser, her beloved Schnauzer, children; Jason and Suzie Leacock of Miami, FL., Joshua Leacock of Las Vegas, NV., Justin and Leslie Dansby of Leesville, LA., granddaughter; Addelyn Dansby of Leesville, LA., and grandson; Jaxon Leacock of Miami, FL., sisters; Roselyn Reed of Deltona, FL., Suzanne and Murray Harford of Deltona, FL., and Nicole and Taka Reed of New York, NY., one niece and several nephews.
